Franklin's Kruczynski will play Division I baseball

The Franklin summer baseball team has claimed two straight Division I championships under legendary coach Jim Hughes, with some extremely talented players along the way.



One of the athletes vital to last season's success and that will be looked to as the staff ace this year is junior left-hander Evan Kruczynski.

1. Sun Prairie - The Cardinals have six state tournament appearances in the last 18 years, but none since 2009. That could change this season, as head coach Rob Hamilton welcomes back a talented roster led by Division I pitching prospect Nate Hoffmann, who tossed two no-hitters last season. Logan Mara also returns after going 6-0 with a 1.05 ERA a year ago, giving Sun Prairie one of the state's top 1-2 punches at the front of the rotation.
